Gardner team Motorsport (formerly Mick Gardner Racing) has been at the forefront of motorsport technology since it was established in the early 1980's.

The business operates from their own 6000sq ft, 1/3rd acre site near Newark in Nottinghamshire.

Mike Gardner joined the team as driver and engineer in 1988, winning his first race in 1989 at the age of just 18. The team developed rapidly from this point and as soon competing at the top level of Formula Ford racing.

Gardner Team Motorsport has also become as successful in the paddock as it has been on the track. In 2001 the team also become one of the main distributors for one of the world's largest suspension manufacturers, and was involved in the design and development of a whole host of suspension systems for the automotive industry. Then, in 2004 the team was contracted to build 18 of the new Mazda RX8 cars for the inaugural Formula Women Championship.

Mike took over the business full time in 1994 and quickly expended the operation to include European competition, where the team excelled during the ultra competitive days of Formula Ford.

The team continued to grow over the subsequent year and attracted lots of drivers that have competed and excelled in many levels of racing, including BTCC, FIA, GT, ALMS and Champcars.
